"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." -Isaiah 53:5 Jesus' disciples have left us eyewitness accounts that confirm His fulfillment of those prophecies. Their accounts, recorded in the Bible, are not fabricated tales, as some said then and some say now, but the disciples sincerely declared what they had heard, seen, and also touched (2 Pet. 1:16; 1 John 1:13). It is noteworthy, and it is clear, that Jesus was not merely the unfortunate, powerless victim of injustice. On the contrary, He died when, where, and Without Jesus' sacrifice we would have no escape from sin or eternal death, for we are unable to help ourselves. We have inherited from Adam and Eve the inclination to resist God and to do evil. This inclination has been passed from generation to generation. It presently operates and dwells in us and causes us to commit the sins which plague our daily lives (Rom. 5:12; 7:1421). Jesus has obtained forgiveness for all men with His sacrificial de God's children gladly repeat the invitation which our Heavenly Father has issued through the Prophet Isaiah: "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David" (Isa. 55: 1, 3). - from the LLC Website Back

Jesus Christ suffered and died and after three days He rose from the dead. The prophets of the Old Testament, like Isaiah in the words above, foretold and described Christ's suffering, death, and resurrection hundreds of years before it happened. 
in the manner that He intended. As He said, He willingly laid down His life (John 10:17, 18). He laid it down as the ransom for our sins (Mark 10:45).
